ITNAmerica promotes lifelong mobility for seniors. The non-profit organization supports sustainable, community-based transportation by leading a national transportation network grounded in research, policy analysis and education. Founded in Portland, Maine, in 1995, it began as the Independent Transportation Network and expanded nationally in 2005. In 2018, the United States Senate officially recognized ITNAmerica on the occasion of providing one million rides to older and visually challenged people in the United States. ITNAmerica’s national network now includes 10 ITN Affiliates, 10 ITNCountry communities and 69 Trusted Transportation Partners in 46 states.
ITNCountry is a new transportation platform specially designed for rural and small communities. This year, ITNCountry is launching in 10 communities across the U.S. A broader national rollout is scheduled for early 2022
Following the deployment of ITNRides 2.0 software, with philanthropic support ITNAmerica projects significant growth in its sites/service locations through 2025.
